The Company:
Energy Design Technologies was located on Camano Island Washington since Nov 2001 and
moved to Grants Pass Oregon April of 2006. Mr. Thorne has over 16 years engineering
experience designing and installing power electronics equipment for the distributed power and
renewable energies industries.

Between 2000-2003, Mr. Thorne worked closely with National laboratories, Standards
agencies, and in standards creation for the renewable energy industry. During this time, he
also spent countless hours across the country during many customer installations where the
issues and burdens of the equipment became apparent.

Manufacturing:
Production of the solar tracking systems leverages off the North Westerns precision industrial
talent known for the aircraft industry and medical production equipment. The systems are then
assembled in house and shipped to locations throughout the world. Manufacturing and
vendors spaces include over 100,000 square feet of combined capacity.

Growth:
Energy Design Technologies is continuously working on larger tracking system but keeping the
“simple controls mentality”. We are currently developing more advanced communications to
the user’s PC, ergonomic user friendly controls, integrated charger controllers, and other
various options.
